Well this couple are havng a picnic....by themselves in a dark dark computer-cave.

WHITE TRASH LOSER! (-Louis CK on white trash, a fave of yours truly)

All you need for your questionable transvestite in pink heels peeing on the wall presentation! Or maybe it's just a confused woman pouring some water down a wall. We will never know.

Do you ever feel handcuffed when typing on your silver laptop..?

Or maybe you feel more like a miniature naked man with a curly mustache is riding the side of your head.

I just don't know why this image is here, I guess for humour..

Well I guess some of us are aroused by white clouds...

aw c'mon guys that is awkward

Your guess is as good as mine

Yusef Islam on Cat Stevens on Steven Demetre Georgiou

Rock star converts to Islam... this is what he has to say.

long ass day

It has been one.

I thought about psychedelic music, and how, to me it's a sound, I guess. But it doesn't necessarily need drugs.. it's just a hypnotic aesthetic that is exciting to people.. . Same with art (an escher drawing). It's all a matter of repetitive geometry at times, which in itself is a meditative activity.

It's annoying to me when people assume I could only have my taste in music and art because I do drugs all the time. I don't really. And I have nothing against those who do. Anything psychedelic can just as easily be enjoyed with an open mind.

The term 'pychedelic' draws the same disdain from people, in the same way that 'sexy' does. People just have to get over it and accept that sex and drugs feel alright and are not all evil; Water can nurture you, water can drown you too.

This brings me to the thought I had one time, a question (on EVIL):

'What if the christian God you know is actually Satan fooling you?'

Your old christian satan is known to do that kind of thing, so why not?

quote me

Today I watched my brother try to kill a mosquito.
As I was enthralled with reading about the alternative Waldorf Education (which is quite spiritual, interconnectedness of life in the cosmos yadda yadda), I jokingly said "No Peter, it's a SENTIENT BEING!" and then I ended with .. "and it needs your blood to live"

"Sentient being, needs your blood."

Love at first listen

Yes, sometimes it takes a while to warm up to a song, and it grows onto you.

Other times, it is love at first listen. Definitely a favorite feeling, and a rare one.
Here's some memorable ones:

Start out with the Montreal band TIGA, I just love the video, love the song:

the wonderfully androgynous Ariel Pink: Gray Sunset

Department of Eagles: No One Does it Like You

Elliott Smith: Between the Bars

Nina Simone: Love me or Leave me (that Piano solo is lovely)

Thank Hank- R. Stevie Moore (written by Victor Lovera)

Russian Girls are Looking for YOU!

Just wow.

Thank Jehovah, for Kung-Fu Bicycles

Talking to an old friend of mine on the MSNs, I was sent this strange documentary about people who write wierd songs, send them in, and get them recorded (for a sizable charge). Some songs are serious, some are downright STRANGE!

Here's a taste:

...ANGELERIA!

Here's the real doc, if you so desire to see:

I too am a songwriter, among other things. At the moment, I am battling tendinitis, an inflammation of the tendons in my wrist (painful). Which means NO GUITAR, UKE, FIDDLE, BANJO, or lifting anything.

I got this from strumming 1 4 5 chord progressions at unusually high velocities. I went to a bluegrass festival.

When I am feeling particularly inspired (music or art or thought), I really don't want to shower (and neglect to do so).. I don't take care of my overall appearance and wish I didn't have a stupid body to take care of. I'd like to stick it in a vault and pull it out when I need to use it.

I had this same thought after watching the gut wrenching Food Inc. documentary about HOW BAD factory farming is and how its everywhere now: again my gut-instinct was "I WANT NO BODY TO FEED so I don't have to part take in this." I think my wish is to be an ethereal spirit that is a set of eyes and a mind, a voice and hands to play music.

I wish I never had to sleep or eat or fuck. I'd like to erase all appetite and just read, speak and sing.

Sesame Street's Music is GR-eat, and so is Ariel Pink

Grover was always my fav. Great song.

Christopher Cerf wrote this song. Upon reading his wiki page, I was totally blown away by:

"Objected to the use of his music to break captive's will

On 9 December 2008 the Associated Press reported that various musicians were coordinating their objections to the use of their music as a technique for softening up captives.[1] The Associated Press reported that Cerf '...was horrified to learn songs from the children's TV show were used in interrogations.'"

Also I am LOVing Ariel Pink's music: Today I changed into all my clothes and danced to this song on repeat. OH faggy, I know, but just take a listen:

Want!

..Jelly shoes.

A style of the 80s, and 90s, and now, but kind of elusive!

I will ALWAYS be a sucker for anything jewel tone, shiny, rainbow, transparent, sparkly.

Looking at those purple ones reminds me that my older sister had some, maybe when she was 6 or 7...

My mom says: "Don't get em! They'll ruin your feet."
But they're nice to look at.

Capchka?

CAPTCHA:

I want my computer to apologize to me every time it gives me a captcha and I solve it.
I just feel insulted every time I'm asked to validate my identity as human.

I've also had one that read: MY F4G once. I saved it, but I can't find it.

I am impatient, I know...

Today, I found some old songs I used to Love. Among them, a 90s masterpiece:
Remember 'Teenage Dirtbag'?

Last time I heard this song was when I was walking over to a friend's house, and I heard it wafting through the air. A bunch of guys were drinking beers around a minivan. And I yearned to run over there and sing it with them. Instead I just quietly remembered how it felt to be back in the 90s.

I'm finally going to take this blog seriously

Flattery has driven me a little. Anonymous people and people I know tell me that I have to blog what I like cause apparently I entertain them thoroughly.

So here you have it. I have decided to make a little post every day then.

Last thing that entertained me thoroughly was:

Dang atta dang atta dang BONG BONG BONG

'Looky look what we got here"

"Just slam it into his face"

"dooong dooong don't you Ev-err DO THIS!"

...and so much more!

Musings of the day:

"I wonder if androgyny ever changes, as trends in favorable male/female traits change over time.

I can tell you I know that attractiveness changes... Celebs who were 'hot' in the 80s, some were totally heinous."

*IF* you want my body

"I don't know why so many pictures of Daniel Radcliffe show up on google images when you search 'sex symbol'. I guess he stood naked next to a white horse or something onstage to affirm his maturity?? Hm.. Horses are mighty trendy nowadays."

I just googled Ugly Sexy and this is what you get: ugly-sexy-bathtime.bmp ooo

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

So I was playing with Google's autocomplete...

I typed in 'girls are' which gets immediately gets you several renditions of:

'girls are like apples quote'

how is this quote so popular?? So here it is:

"Girls are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the
tree. The boys don't want to reach for the good ones because they are
afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten
apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy.So the apples at the
top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing.
They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who's brave
enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree. "

-Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy)

d'aaaawwwwwwwwwww

and then I read about him on wikipedia
and read that there was a leak of naked pictures

So I looked at them!

THE END

I think I might have to watch this movie now.

Fun Facts about Poison

The word of the day is:

sar·don·ic

[sahr-don-ik]

–adjective
characterized by bitter or scornful derision; mocking; cynical; sneering: a sardonic grin.

I don't know where I heard this word, but I think it's underused. Maybe that's just what makes a great word.

I originally looked up this word curious of it's origin. It's just a lovely sound.

Origin:
1630–40; alter. of earlier sardonian (influenced by F sardonique); alluding to a Sardinian plant which when eaten was supposed to produce convulsive laughter ending in death

I then pulled up this National Geographic article: 'Ancient Death-Smile Potion Decoded?' Homer wrote of this plant in the 8th century BC, which has mystified historians: Now we think they've found the sweet tasting, face-paralyzing FATAL ROOT. I don't think I need to summarize it when there's a perfectly good article there for you if you're curious too.

They are thinking it may have potential as an alternative to Botox.

The Greeks on the other hand saw it as a solution to eliminating unproductive members of society:

'Elderly people who could no longer care for themselves and criminals "were intoxicated with the sardonic herb and then killed by dropping from a high rock or by beating to death," '

It's just glorified juvinile delinquence.

Have you listened to any Link Wray yet?

I suggest you watch this crap quality video of a spinning record of 1958 on Youtube.

So Link Wray was a pioneer of early rock and roll for the american badasses, which went on to influence the sound of punk and new wave music. . . He learned to play slide guitar from a travelling black carnie.

The traveling black guy who plants the seed of good music seems to be quite the trope in this sort of American music history.

Everything I have heard by Link Wray fails to disappoint me. I really love anything that sounds like this.
